New Hero Pleasure bookings start
Snapshot: Hero has started taking bookings of its new updated Pleasure. The scooter is now available with Hero's Integrated Braking System and a host of other useful features
Hero MotoCorp has started taking bookings of its new Pleasure across its countrywide dealerships. The company had quietly updated its site with the new model earlier this month, however, the new scooter had not come in the showrooms. Well, now it has and prospective owners will be able to go and check the new features of this updated Pleasure before booking the scooter.
The new Hero Pleasure gets a new instrument cluster which now also features a side stand indicator. A front storage box, mobile charging socket, LED lit underseat storage area, tubeless tyres, and new five-spoke alloys round off the list of new features for the updated model. Also, the head and tail lamps, indicators, and grab rail have been restyled.
But most importantly, Hero has given the new Pleasure its Integrated Braking System (IBS) too, which the company had introduced in the recently launched special edition Pleasure. The IBS is essentially Hero's version of Honda's Combi Brake System. With IBS, the front and rear brakes will be activated on pressing the right-hand side brake lever. Of course, as usual, the rider can use the left-hand side brake lever to engage only the rear brake too. Again, another opportunity missed by Hero to endow the Pleasure with a front disc brake. The new scooter still makes do with 130 mm drums at both the front and rear.
The engine does not see any changes as the new Hero Pleasure continues to be powered by the same motor. The 102cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine produces 6.8 horses at 7,000 rpm and 0.80 of twisting force at 5,000 rpm.
The company has ensured that the new scooter catches the eyes of the target female audience by offering dual-tone colour options too. So, in addition to Black, Red, SIlver, and Purple, the new Pleasure can be had in a combination of White and Blue, White and Red, White and Green, White and Orange, and White and Purple.
The new Pleasure is priced at Rs. 47,075 for the Alloy wheels and IBS variant and Rs. 45,960 for the version with cast wheels (both prices are ex-showroom, Mumbai). The scooter can be booked for Rs 1,000 at your nearest dealer.
