Hero MotoCorp has launched the new Super Splendor at a sticker price of Rs. 57,190/- (Ex-Showroom Delhi) in the country. The company currently owns the lion's share of over 55 percent in the 125cc segment in the domestic motorcycle market. The new motorcycle comes with an array of cosmetic updates while mechanically being more powerful than the preceding model. New Hero Super Splendor comes in five premium metallic colors – Black with purple, Black with Fiery Red Black with silver, Candy Blazing Red and Heavy Grey.

Commenting on the launch, Ashok Bhasin, Head – Sales & Customer Care, Hero MotoCorp said, “Every second motorcycle sold in the country is a Hero bike. The new Super Splendor retains the core attributes of one of India’s most reliable brands - Splendor - and is surely going to appeal to customers across the country.” The new Super Splendor boasts of an updated seat profile, a wider rear tyre, large under seat storage and side utility box with lock.
Speaking of exterior styling, it gets chrome finish muffler, sleek tail light and modern graphics. As far as safety is concerned, the new Hero Super Splendor is equipped with All Time Headlamp On (AHO), Side Stand Indicator and side Reflector as standard fitments. Being powered by a new air-cooled, 4-stroke single Cylinder OHC 125cc TOD (Torque-on-Demand) engine, it offers 27 percent more power and 6 percent more torque than its previous generation. The engine delivers a maximum power of 8.4bhp at 7500rpm and peak torque of 11Nm at 6000rpm. The motorcycle also features the highly proven Hero i3S technology (idle stop and start system), while having a top speed of 94kmph.
