New Honda Amaze VX CVT variant launched at Rs 8.56 lakh

Honda Cars India Ltd. added a new variant - VX CVT to the Amaze range. The VX CVT version will be available on both petrol and diesel engine, where the Honda Amaze VX CVT petrol is priced at Rs 8.56 lakh and the Amaze VX CVT Diesel variant gets a tag of Rs 9.56 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom). Adding a top-end new grade also means that the car will come packed with some added features as well.

Earlier, the CVT was offered in S as well as V variant of the model. With the launch of the new variant, the Honda Amaze is available in 4 trims in Manual gearbox for both petrol and diesel – E, S, V and VX, whereas the CVT is now offered in S, V and VX in both Petrol and Diesel.

The new Amaze VX CVT also comes with some additional equipment over V CVT variant like a 7-inch advanced touchscreen Infotainment display with in-built Navigation, Android Auto, Apple Carplay connectivity, steering mounted voice control, additional USB-In port, IR remote control, rear parking camera, one-touch up along with pinch guard window on the driver’s side.

That apart, the model range also get some more standard equipment such as high-speed alert,  keeping inline Government announcement to be implemented from 1st July 2019 for safety regulations. The compact sedan already had other standard features like the dual airbags, ABS, rear parking sensors, impact Sensing door unlock, ISOFIX child seat anchorage, etc., to name a few, since its launch in 2018.

Since the launch of the second generation Honda Amaze, the car has made a good contribution of 46% of total HCIL sales in the financial year 2018-19. Honda has sold over 85,000 units of the model within 11 months, since its launch, marking the fastest sales number registered by any new model launched by Honda in India.
