Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. has started the bookings for the new CBR 650R at Rs 15,000 Honda exclusive Wing World outlets in 22 cities in the country. Being revealed at the 2018 EICMA Show in Milan, Honda CBR 650R replaces the CBR 650F under the company’s sports middleweight line up. The bike will be developed in India while being priced under Rs 8 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom). The CBR 650R will be available in 2 vibrant colours - Grand Prix Red & Gunpowder Black Metallic. It will directly take on the Kawasaki Ninja 650 in the Indian market.

Speaking on how CBR650R will expand fun biking to next level in India, Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President - Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Drawing designing cues from the Fireblade Super Sports style, Honda CBR 650R will feature a 6 kgs lighter chassis than its predecessor. It flaunts full LED lighting with a narrow dual headlamp, while the a digital LCD display with Gear Position and Shift Up indicator is also on offer. The new, adjustable 41 mm Showa Separate Fork Function (SFF) USD forks come as standard. The bike will also feature Assist/Slipper Clutch alongwith Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) to maintain rear wheel traction. As for Braking, the dual radial-mount calipers match a single-piston rear caliper for improved balance alongside the dual channel ABS. The CBR 650R will be powered by a powerful 649cc liquid cooled four-cylinder, DOHC 16-valve engine.
