Hyundai is planning to usher in a new GL(O) trim of the Tucson, which will have Auto Link features, panoramic sunroof and wireless charging. It will cost approx. Rs. 74,000 extra than the GL trim. The same features are also available in GLS variant.

The GL (O) trim will most likely feature 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, automatic projector headlamps with LED DRL, front and rear fog lamps and ORVMs with turn signals. The interiors could get cruise control, 10-way power adjustable driver seat, an 8-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, multi-function steering wheel as well as dual-zone automatic climate control with rear AC vents.

The Tucson will come with an option of two engines - a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder petrol which churns 153 BHP @ 6,200 rpm and 192 Nm of torque @ 4,000 rpm. The 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel unit delivers 182 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm @ 1,750-2,750 rpm. Both the engines will be offered with an option of a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive will be offered only on the diesel variant.
The Hyundai Tucson will be available with safety features such as ABS with EBD, dual front airbags and ISOFIX child safety seat anchors as standard. The GL trim will get Brake Assist, Downhill Brake Control, ESC, front side and curtain airbags, Hill Start Assist and Vehicle Stability Management (VSM).
