The new Hyundai Verna has crossed a booking of 24,000 mark since the dealers officially started accepting orders August 4, 2017. The Honda City and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz rival garnered more than 1,75,000 enquiries within a span of 4 months. Not only this, the new model by the South Korean automaker has also outnumbered both its rival for the second consecutive time in monthly sales and becoming the segment leader.
With the launch of the 2017 Hyundai Verna, the average sales of the mid-size sedan segment has crossed 20,000 units as against 14,000 (H1). While the 20 percent of the total sales of the sedan has been contributed by the first time buyers. More than 45% of the Next Gen VERNA customers look for premium and Segment Unique Comfort Features. Next Gen VERNA offers 21 New Age Technologies and Advanced Features such as Front Ventilated Seats, Smart trunk, Smart Sunroof, The Eco Coating Technology and Advanced Telematics System.
Recently, Hyundai also reported that it has received an order of 10,501 units for the Verna from the Middle East and till now Hyundai has exported 2,022 units of the sedan to Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, the new Verna will also be exported to South Africa, other Gulf and Asian countries 2018 onwards.
The Hyundai Verna is available in both petrol and diesel fuel option. The petrol variant comes with a 1.6-litre Gamma engine and the diesel version gets 1.6- litre U2 CRDi engine, transmission duties are carried out with a 6-speed automatic or a 6-speed manual transmissions. The price range of the model starts from 7.99 lakh and goes upto Rs 12.87 lakh (All prices, Ex-Showroom, Delhi).
