It is not a secret that the global car manufacturers giants are trying to capture big segments of the lucrative and growing car market in the country. Fiat has already have a big presence in India and its cars are seen very often on the Indian roads. The company has already launched ‘Linea T-Jet’ model in India some time back. The model launched earlier had ‘1.4L’ petro engine which is ‘turbocharged’, uses ‘fuel’ very efficiently; it goes on fifteen point seven Kms per litre. The model has a ‘manual gearbox’ of ‘5 speed’.
The new variant of ‘Linea T-Jet’ has many added features, lamps use new technology of ‘ABS, EBD’ which help the lamps to switch off automatically. The ‘wipers’ of the car are likely to have a system which goes ‘audio’ when rain comes down. The company has three new options, ‘Emotion, ‘Active’, and ‘Dynamic’. All three variants have separate parts; both ‘Dynamic and Active’ have wheel which are fifteen inches high and made of steel. They give both models a good ‘clearance’ from the ground. The third variant ‘Emotion’ have still higher wheels of sixteen inches made out of ‘alloy’. The prospective customers can select a car of their choice in color. There are 5 colors, blue, two shades of white, ‘Tuscan’ and ‘Near Pearl’, black and grey. The car comes with a different prices, Rupees seven lakhs and sixty thousand for ‘Emotion’, Rupees eight lakhs forty thousand for ‘Dynamic’ and the price goes up for added equipments.
A top official of the company has announced that Fiat is now planning to expand its network and introduce new dealers. He also said that the new models have added comfort with excellent performance which would appeal to the prospective customers. The new models are rugged and able to take the rough road system prevalent in some parts of the country easily. The new model is likely to compete with Maruti, Hyundai, Ford, Volkswagen, Skoda and Honda for the prospective customers.
