New Mahindra Bolero Pik-up Launched at Rs. 6.15 Lakhs

Mahindra & Mahindra, the home-grown automaker, has launched the new Bolero pik-up at a starting price of Rs. 6.15 Lakhs (BS-3 Ex. Showroom, Pune) in the country. Mahindra Bolero pik-up is available in 2 variants – one with 1,250 kg payload and other with 1,500 kg payload. The BS-4 derivative is priced at Rs. 6.30 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Pune). Just so you know, the new Bolero pik-up has the biggest cargo body of 2765 mm (9 feet) in its segment.

Mahindra Bolero pik-up had 69% of the market share in FY2016 in the pick-up segment. The new Bolero Pik-up will be manufactured at Mahindra’s Kandivali Plant. In addition to the 1,250 Kg and 1,500 Kg variants, the Pik-up will also be available in CBC (Cowl Body chassis) variant which will help the customers to build the Cargo Body according to their need and application. The pik-up is powered by the company's tried and trusted MDI Engine which has an output of 63bhp at 3200 rpm for BSIII variant and 70bhp at 3200 rpm for BSIV variant. The torque performance for both the BS3 and BS4 variants stand at 195Nm. Mahindra would also launch the 4X4 variant in new looks and interiors shortly.

The company is offering power steering and sliding & reclining seats as standard features across all variants of the new pik-up. There is a new instrument panel and color theme in the cabin. It has a magazine pocket, mobile holder and charging point for convenience. The new Bolero also gets the ELR ( Electronic Lock Retractor) seat belts for both the driver’s and co-driver’s safety. In addition, the engine immobilizer is also present in the BS-4 variants as standard. The home-grown automaker is offering 3 years unlimited kilometers warranty on engine and driveline in the BS-3 variant and 1 year unlimited kilometers warranty in the BS-4 variant.
