Mahindra Scorpio, India’s one of the top-selling SUVs, is now due for its facelift in 2014. Our sources tell us that the Scorpio facelift will be launched in the first quarter of 2014, followed by its unveiling at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo in February. The facelifted Scorpio has been recently spotted testing in India, which further hints at Mahindra's plans of launching it soon in the market.
The new 2014 Scorpio Facelift is likely to get new headlamps, revised radiator grille and front bumper with prominent crease lines. With all new tail-lamps, tailgate and rear bumper, the rear profile of the new Scorpio will be sportier than before.
The 2014 Mahindra Scorpio will surely be more up-market and comfortable from inside than its predecessor. Mahindra has made various significant alterations to its dashboard. The vehicle is expected to get richer upholstery too. Other changes could be revised centre console, a new steering wheel and some interior design elements and featuers inspired by the XUV 500.
Mechanically, the Scorpio facelift is likely to remain unchanged. It will continue to come with a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel mill that makes a maximum power output of 120hp. However, this could be tuned for better refinement and efficiency.
