The new 2019 Maruti Suzuki WagonR has been spotted in a new Pearl Autumn Orange shade. It will come in three other colour schemes like Magma Grey, Pearl Nutmeg Brown, Pearl Poolside Blue, Superior White and Silky Silver.
The 2019 upgrade makes it the third-gen WagonR with the inclusion of Maruti Suzuki’s new Heartect architecture which is also the platform for premium cars like the Baleno, Dzire, Ignis and Swift. The new Maruti car is broader, stands lower and boasts of an enhanced roofline.
The new WagonR will be offered in two engine options – a refined K10B 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol motor which can churn 67.98 PS (50 kW) at 5,500 rpm and 90 Nm of max torque at 3,500 rpm. And the new K12M 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol motor can produce 82.94 PS (61 kW) at 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm of peak torque at 4,200 rpm. The engines are paired to a 5-speed manual and 5-speed automated manual transmission.
It measures 1,620 mm broad, 1,675 mm tall and 3,655 mm long with a wheelbase of 2,435 mm.
In a first, the latest Maruti Suzuki WagonR gets a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system known as ‘SmartPlay Studio’ with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
All the variants (Lxi, Vxi and Zxi) will feature ABS with EBD, driver side airbag, front SBR, rear parking sensors and speed alert system.
Pre-bookings are now open for the 2019 WagonR at a price of Rs. 11,000. The expected launch date is 23rd January 2019.
