India’s leading carmaker, Maruti Suzuki India recently launched the third-generation of Swift at the recently concluded Auto Expo 2018. Featuring radical changes inside out, the all-new Swift is a far cry from its predecessor. One of the most revered models in the country, Swift continues to receive unprecedented response, even in its new avatar.
That said, the all-new Swift has received over 60,000 bookings within a month, after Maruti opened the official bookings ahead of its grand launch at the biennial event. With this, the waiting period for the hatchback has gone up to four months, from the previous two months’ time (please note the waiting period varies for different variants and locations).
Reports in media suggest, the hatchback had already clocked around 30,000 pre-orders by the time of its launch. The new Swift is not only more appealing in visual terms, but it sits on Suzuki’s new HEARTECT platform which makes it lighter and more fuel efficient. Change in proportions carve out more space on the inside, offering more room to the occupants sitting at the back.
Maruti Swift vs Rivals: Price Comparison
It additionally gets a host of new comfort, connectivity and safety features which were missing in the preceding model. Undoubtedly a better package than before, the all-new Maruti Swift 2018 can be availed with Maruti’s new iCreate personalisation package with more add-ons.
The all-new Swift competes with models including Hyundai Grand i10 facelift, Volkswagen Polo and Ford Figo in the segment. We are hopeful that new Maruti Swift will continue its successful run in the segment and continue giving its competitors a run for their money.
