There is quite a little time left in the official launch of Maruti Swift facelift, as the company dealers across the nation have started taking pre-orders for the same at Rs. 10000. Now, if the folks at GaadiWaadi are to be believed, then the 2014 Maruti Swift would arrive in a price bracket of Rs. 4.42 - 6.95 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom). Not only the prices but also the variant-wise features and upgrades that the hatchback has got, have been leaked ahead of its launch, which is said to be taking place towards the end of this month.
New Swift hatchback would have an array of cosmetic changes but it would also witness a major mechanical upgrade. Both the gasoline and oil burner have been re-tuned to deliver an even more tempting fuel efficiency. The 1.2L K-Series petrol mill, with the new Swift, would deliver 20.5kmpl as compared to the 18.6kmpl of the earlier model. On the other hand, the 1.3L DDiS diesel motor would be returning an exceptional 25.2kmpl of mileage with the new iteration of Swift hatchback as compared to the 22.9kmpl of the current one. The updated Swift would also be launched in two new chic colors - Solid fire Red & Pearl mysterious Violet. Below listed are the variant-wise features of the Maruti Suzuki Swift Facelift:
LXi/LDi (Base) Trim - Being the entry-level variants, they would not be upgraded as much as the other variants in the Swift lineup. But still, they would bear the cosmetic changes, taking place at the exterior front. There would be a tweaked front bumper with larger air dam at the front fascia. Inside the cabin, despite being the base trim, it would have height adjustable driver's seat as standard feature. This trim would consist of total three variants: LXi - 4.42 Lakhs, LXi (O) - 4.49 Lakhs, and LDi - 5.56 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom).
VXi/VDi (Mid) Trim - Being the mid-level trim, it would boast more features and equipments. Talking about the exteriors, it would flaunt new L-shaped silver strips near to the fog lamps which are integrated in the revised front bumper. Also, it would have newly designed wheel caps; but no inclusion of alloys. As far as interior cabin is concerned, it would boast an array of contemporary features such as Music System with Speed Sensing Auto-Sound, Electrical Retractable & Adjustable ORVM's, All-new Dashboard etc. to name a few. Did we forgot to mention that Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) is a standard safety feature across the mid-level VXi/VDi trim. The two variants in this trim are VXi and VDi, which are being priced at Rs. 5.08 Lakhs and 5.99 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom), respectively.
ZXi/ZDi (Top) Trim - The top-end trim would consist of several top-notch sophisticated features, including the ones seen on the mid-level VXi/VDi trim. It would be having premium and up-market comfort features such as Push start/stop button, Steering wheel mounted audio controls with Bluetooth, Keyless Entry, Cruise Control etc. to mention a few. At the outside, unlike the other two trims, it would flaunt all new 12-spoke alloy wheels. In terms of safety features, it would be blessed with dual front airbags, reverse parking sensors and Electronic Stability Program (ESP) as standard. The top-end variants ZXi and ZDi are being priced at Rs. 5.90 Lakhs and 6.95 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom), respectively.
