McLaren has made an announcement to unveil the new GT May 15 and adding this new edition to its line-up, named as GT will be a superlight performance car. The teaser video shows the tail side of the GT that boasts of a LED taillamps with a LED sleek strip running through along with some aero bits of the McLaren GT. The car will come packed with all the McLaren engineering and moreover, it will also share Speedtail Hyper-GT’s DNA.
The new upcoming performance will be positioned neck in neck with other Sports as well as Super series of McLaren. Being more of a bespoke creation culture and that said the new GT will have more level of bespoke compared to company’s other models like the 570GT, where the latter’s design has a close resemblance with the 570S, but the McLaren gets a unique and stylish design. The very first GT is likely to come to the first customer by autumn 2019. Being a part of McLaren’s Track25 business plan, this is the fourth model out of 18 models that are due to make their way by 2025.
Talking about the new McLaren GT, the company says that the car will be a combination of continent-crossing capability along with good competition levels of performance and also it will come with a lightweight body. This performance car will boast of comfort as well as space that is expected from a grand tourer and will be built go through long distance. More interesting, it will also feature good levels of agility that one has never ever experienced in a performance car. To come as a lightest GT, it will boast of best power-to-weight ratio and will be quick to bolt.
