Mercedes Benz has revealed the pricing and specifications of the new GT range in the UK. The new Mercedes-AMG GT would be available in a total of five derivatives: GT Coupe, GT Roadster, S Coupe, C Roadster and R Coupe at an introductory price of £98,195 (Around Rs. 83.60 Lakhs), £110,145 (Around Rs. 93.78 Lakhs), £111,495 (Around Rs. 94.92 Lakhs), £139,445 (Around Rs. 1.19 Crores) and £143,245 (Around Rs. 1.22 Crores), respectively. The entire GT range would be powered by the 4.0L V8 bi-turbo engine.
Speaking about the Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster & GT C Roadster, the duo would come with a three-layer fabric roof available in one of three colours: black, beige or dark red. The roof opens or closes electrically in around eleven seconds, and can be operated at speeds of up to 50kmph. Standard features would be 19-inch alloy wheels, AMG Panamericana grille, wind deflector, AMG performance exhaust system, heated AMG sports seats with Airscarf and black Nappa leather upholstery. Though, the GT C variant would boast of a few more features in form of Burmester surround sound, Parktronic with reversing camera, Keyless-Go package, Active Air Control system and red brake calipers with ‘AMG’ lettering. Both would be powered by the 4.0L V8 motor, which would generate 476bhp with GT and 557bhp with GT C. The former would do a 0-100kmph sprint in 4 seconds, while the latter, being more powerful, would take just 3.7 seconds to beat the 100kmph mark from standstill.
Coming to the Mercedes-AMG GT R, it would get an array of high-end premium features as standard in form of AMG sports bucket seats, carbon fibre roof, AMG Panamericana grille, AMG GT R bodystyling, yellow brake calipers, AMG performance exhaust system, static rear aerofoil, 19/20-inch alloy wheels (front/back), Parktronic, AMG Interior Night package (including: black door sills, steering wheel gear shift panels in black, black inserts below head restraints, black strut in the luggage compartment), sports tyres and AMG performance steering wheel in black Dinamica microfibre. It can also be availed with the 'Premium package' at an additional cost of £4,195 (Around Rs. 3.57 Lakhs) – with the addition of heated seats. Also, by paying £595 (Around Rs. 51,000), customers can add the Lane Tracking package which includes Blind Spot Assist and Lane Keeping Assist. Powered by the same 4.0L bi-turbo powertrain, it would have maximum power of 585bhp and peak torque of 700Nm, while 0-100kmph sprint time is 3.6 seconds.
