The German car manufacturer Mercedes Benz has captured a large share of Indian luxury car market and they are keeping up the momentum by launching newer models in the market. Recently they have launched Mercedes ‘E Class’ sedan in the market and have now come out with the model which is produced entirely in their manufacturing facility near ‘Pune’. The new locally produced ‘E Class’ model comes in three variants with three different price tag.
The new model will have state of art technology, will have safety and comfort, and a great ‘infotainment systems’ The company says that it will be the best model unveiled so far. The car manufacturer has sold nearly ’23,000’ ‘E Class’ model in India so far, which makes it the most popular luxury model. A senior executive from the organization says that the model is an important part of the sales strategy adopted in India. This year the company plans to use very aggressive marketing strategy and has plans to introduce more models in the Indian car market.
The new E-Class model comes in three variants, the first variant is ‘E200 CGI’ which costs ‘Rs.41.5 lakhs’. The second variant is ‘E250 CDI’ which costs ‘Rs.44.8 lakhs’, and the third variant is ‘E250 CDI’ which is going to cost ‘Rs.49.90 lakhs’. The latest ‘E Class200 CGI’ has a petrol engine which is improved to ‘8’ Percent and does ’13.8’ KMPL. The diesel variant ‘E 250 CDI’ has a ‘V4 engine’ which goes up to ‘204’ BHP and the car is said to surge ahead in ‘7.5 second’ from ‘0 to 100’ KMPH. The petrol variant engine of ‘E 200 CGI’ is fast and the vehicle is said to take only ‘7.6 seconds’ to surge ahead from ‘0-100’ KMPH. With these new entrants and proposed entry of some more products during the year, Mercedes Benz is all set to make its place in the luxury car market in India.
