Mini India has silently launched the new Countryman at a sticker price of Rs. 36.50 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, New Delhi) in the country. Being a five-door hatchback, the new Mini Countryman comes loaded with several top-notch comfort and safety features. The new hatch would be sold via CBU route at all company dealerships across the nation and would be available in as many as nine metallic colors.
As for exterior appearance, the Mini Countryman comes with contoured bonnet, redesigned hexagonal grille, increased ground clearance, short overhangs and large xenon headlights with LED foglights. The 5-door hatch flaunts 17-inch alloy wheels as standard. The interior cabin offers raised seating position and height adjustable sports leather seats. In addition, there is a multifunction sport leather steering wheel, Automatic Start/Stop function, Panaoramic Glass-roof and Radio Mini Boost CD with 10 speaker 640 watt Hi-Fi Harmon Kardon music system. However, glass-roof and 10 speaker 640 watt Hi-Fi Harmon Kardon music system are available as optional. Just so you know, the backseat is now available in a 40:20:40 split mode.

It is a perfect amalgamation of character, space and the ‘go-kart’ responsiveness.” The nine metallic colors on offer are Blazing Red, Brilliant Copper, Royal Grey, Absolute Black, Crystal Silver, Cosmic Blue, Jungle Green, Starlight Blue and Midnight Grey.
Under the hood, the Mini Countryman has a four-cylinder turbodiesel with common-rail injection and variable turbine geometry. It develops a maximum power output of 112bhp and peak torque performance of 270Nm between 1750–2250rpm. The engine is linked to a new six-speed Steptronic transmission, which propels the hatch to accelerate to 100kmph from standstill in just 11.3 seconds, while clocking a top speed of 185kmph. The paddle shifters are also offered as optional feature. As for safety of the occupants, the Mini Countryman has 6 airbags, 3-point seat belts, Dynamic Stability Control including Dynamic Traction Control, Anti-lock Braking System, Brake Assist and Run-flat indicator.
