The all-new Mitsubishi Outlander has finally started arriving at dealerships in India ahead of its official launch in the country. As it appears, the SUV is could be priced at Rs 32 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). As we reported earlier, bookings for the SUV began already at Rs 50,000. With the launch of the third generation model, the Outlander SUV will make comeback in India after the previous generation was discontinued over three years ago. Upon launch, the SUV will compete with rivals like Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner.
The all-new Mitsubishi Outlander comes sporting a stylish and eye-catching new design bearing the latest design theme of the Japanese auto manufacturer. It boasts an X shaped large front grille with plenty of chrome garnishing. There are sharp headlamps with HIP projector lamps and integrated LED daytime running lights. The fog lamp housings get chrome trims and there is a thick skid plate.
New Mitsubishi Outlander runs on large sporty wheels and there are minimal creases. At the back, the LED taillights add zing to the SUV. Inside the cabin, Mitsubishi Outlander gets wide range of upmarket features along with a stylish design that adds premiumness to the car. Thanks to its seven-seater layout, the SUV will offer ample space and comfort to the occupants. Also, there are wide ranges of advanced safety features.
The 190 mm of ground clearance of this SUV reflects the its tough character. The India-spec model will be available in petrol variant only and power comes from a 2.4-litre 4B12 MIVEC engine coupled with a CVT. This engine churns out 168 bhp of peak power at 6,000 rpm and 222 Nm of peak torque at 4,100 rpm. The SUV can reach 100 kmph mark from standstill position in 11.1 seconds.
