Today, Nissan introduced the a new freshened colour - “Sunshine Orange” exterior colour for the Micra hatchback with an all-black sporty interior. The competitive starting price of Rs 4.55 lakh has attracted many customers across the country. The car has been claimed as the most affordable premium automatic model with a price tag of Rs 5.99 lakh (All Prices, Ex-showroom, New Delhi).
Commenting on this, Arun Malhotra, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Inside the cabin the new Micra, you will see an all-black interior that includes piano black finish over the black centre console, black seat fabric with blue stitching and black door trims. Where as in the Micra Active variants you will get black seat fabric, black instrument panel cluster and finisher and a silver finished door arm rest. The car is available in 5 more options such as Turquoise Blue, Brick Red, Onyx Black, Blade Silver, Nightshade and Storm White.
Mechanically, Nissan Micra draws its power from a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder inline petrol unit that is paired with a 5-speed automatic gearbox system, where the drive is directed to the front wheels. The motor is good to dish out a maximum power of 76 PS at 6000 rpm along with a peak torque of 104 Nm at 4000 rpm. While the diesel version gets a 1.5-litre 4 cylinder engine that can produce an output of 64PS at 4000rpm and 160Nm of torque at 2000 rpm. This power is evenly transmitted to the front wheels by a 5 speed manual gearbox, returning ARAI claimed fuel efficiency of 23.08 kmpl.
