Skoda Motors are the official partners of the famous Goodwood Festival, held every year in the historic grounds of the Goodwood House. This is the 3rd instance that this car manufacturer is taking part in the festival as a co sponsor of the ‘Festival of Speed’. As it is well known the Goodwood Festival is supposed to rival the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament for its style and fame. Like the Tennis Tournament it has the audience of famous faces, sports stars, film and theater personalities and others. It is known for its rugged hillside climb route and a place where all motor manufacturing giants introduce their vehicles to the discerning and exclusive audience. Skoda is unveiling their latest ‘Octavia vRs’ brand this year.
‘Octavia vRS’ is a unique vehicle - it has an appearance of a sports car, performs in a functional way and has the elegance and style of a very special unit. Skoda engineers have used innovative technology which improves the speed yet maintains fuel economy. The interiors are comfortable and designed elegantly. The engine comes in two variants, diesel and petrol. Both variants are economical and powerful. The petrol engine comes in ‘2.0 TSI’ and is capable of achieving top speed of ‘217’ BHP, while the diesel variant has a ‘2-0 TDI engine’ and can reach a speed of ‘182’ BHP. It is no surprise that Skoda series of ‘vRS’ are fast, stylish and a marvel of engineering technology, all at the same time.
Goodwood Festival show cases all types of cars, ‘luxury and sports’. Skoda plans to unveil their model with ‘an interactive pavilion’ display. The display will also have a ‘4D’ show where the general public can realistically experience and understand the technology of the new brand. They are also sponsoring a ‘Forest Rally’ which is especially laid out with ‘loose surface’ specially for this event. The general public is waiting anxiously for the festival to take a look at new entrant from Skoda.
