Ducati announced that they will be coming up with a new naked motorcycle at the end of August this year, though there are no details of the new motorcycle out yet but according to the speculations, Ducati might launch a new litre-class naked motorcycle, a successor of the Ducati 1099 Streetfighter that was discontinued back in 2013. Ducati has been playing hard these days and it looks like the strategy is working out well for the iconic Italian Brand. Ducati introduced the Scrambler to the world and Scrambler sure played an important role in upping Ducati’s overall growth and it still is going strong.
The new motorcycle might be based on the platform of 1299 Panigale, the naked version of the same. The 1299 is based on a Superquadro L-Twin, 4 Desmodromically actuated valves per cylinder, liquid cooled 1285cc engine that produces about 205bhp of power at 10500rpm and 144.7Nm of peak torque at 8,750rpm. The 1299 Streetfighter would convey a solid message to other manufacturers that Ducati won’t back down and are reloading their guns with the planned launch of a new Italian hooligan. We hope that soon after the international launch of the new motorcycle, Ducati will introduce the same to the Indian market as well. However chances are Ducati might launch an upgrade of 899 Panigale, given the 1299 replaced the 1199 for 2015.
