Tata Motors has officially revealed that it would unveil the new Nano Genx today. The company has also released two teaser images of the Nano Genx on its official Facebook page, which reads as, "The next generation is ready to welcome you with a smile". Just so you know, Tata Nano Genx would come with a bootlid and an automated manual transmission (AMT).
Talking about the cosmetic changes, the new Tata Nano Genx flaunts a restyled front bumper, which is quite identical to a similing face. And, hence Tata's teaser image for Nano comes with a caption, "Say Cheese". The Nano Genx would be sold along with the current variants of the small car. The home-grown automajor claims that the Tata Nano AMT version would deliver a fuel efficiency of 21.9kmpl, with an enhanced fuel tank capacity of 24 litres over the 15 litres tank capacity of ongoing models. Furthermore, the functional bootlid of the new Nano Genx would create an additional space of 110 litres for luggage. As of now, the rear seat back is folded down to put luggage in Nano.
It is expected that Nano Genx would be offered across three trims - XE, XM and XT. It is expected that XM and XT trim might come loaded with the automated manual tranmsmission (AMT). Also, the new Tata Nano Genx would get an all-new Sangria Red paint color, while it would also be offered in existing colors like Meteor Silver, Pearl White, Royal Gold, Dazzle Blue, Damson Purple and Persian Rose colors. Mechanically, the engine of new Nano Genx is not expected to go though any major upgrades or changes.
