KTM is set to reveal a new Duke model at the upcoming EICMA 2016 on 8th November, 2016. The Bajaj-owned bike maker has affirmed it in a teaser, hinting that they will be launching a new sports bike with latest and cutting edge technology and a superior design. Although the teaser doesn’t reveal the exact model to be launched, but the reports suggest that it should be either the Duke 800 or the Duke 390.
The short video doesn’t revealing a lot about this new bike, yet it shows some of the features like the all-new full LED split-front lamp and some other things which indicates that it might not be a single cylinder based motorcycle. It implies that the next version appearing in the teaser might be of the Duke 800 which might appear with 800 cc twin-cylinder engine.
With the raw and muscular looks of the new Duke 800, it is expected to pose a challenge to the Kawasaki Z800, Ducati Monster 821 and Triumph Street Triple. The new model is expected to come with standard ABS for Europe, edge with free back subframe, superior dashboard, various riding modes through ride-by-wire throttle and footing control. The 2017 KTM Duke 390, on the other hand would be powered by a 373.2cc single-cylinder engine, and arrive with features like LED tail lights, riding modes, side exhaust and better engine cooling.
Other than these new models, KTM is also likely to release the Duke 200 at EICMA. For performance riders, there's another model on its way with huge 1290 cc twin-cylinder engine, the Super Duke 1290.
