Toyota Glanza is surely making waves, where the hatchback comes as a joint venture product between the two Japanese car manufacturers – Maruti Suzuki and Toyota in India. Toyota Glanza hatchback is scheduled to make its launch on June 6, 2019, in India. Earlier, we informed about the leaked images of the model and the car will be offered in two variants. The Toyota Glanza will be available with three engine-transmission option - 1.2-litre petrol that produces 82 bhp coupled to a manual transmission, 1.2-litre petrol paired with a CVT and a 1.2-litre with Smart Hybrid tech that makes 89 bhp and paired to a manual gearbox. Toyota Glanza G variant
Toyota Glanza G version will be offered with two engine options - a 1.2-litre Smart Hybrid petrol that develops 89 bhp and coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 1.2-litre petrol engine that makes 82 bhp while paired with a 7-step CVT. Toyota Glanza feature list would include ABS with EBD dual front airbags, brake assist, height-adjustable seatbelts and seatbelt reminder for them, LED projector headlamps, front fog lamps, speed warning, rear row Isofix child seat mounts, automatic climate control, front centre armrest, rear parking sensors, rear defogger & wiper, electrically adjustable and foldable outside rearview mirrors, mild-hybrid system (Offered on 89 bhp engine), new 16-inch diamond-cut alloys, steering-mounted controls, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment display with Smart Playcast and compatible with USB, Bluetooth, Aux, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto; 2 tweeters and 4 speakers, push button start/stop, central locking with keyless entry, tilt and telescopic steering adjustment, front and rear adjustable headrests, and power windows with auto function for the front.
Toyota Glanza V variant
Toyota Glanza V variant will be available in two engine options - 1.2-litre petrol engine that makes 82 bhp while paired with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 7-step CVT. Apart from other features, it will also get automatic LED projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, follow me home system, rear parking camera and steering wrapped in leather.
In India, Toyota Glanza will compete with the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Ford Figo, Honda Jazz, Hyundai Elite i20 and the upcoming Tata Altroz and what will make it a different offering from its rivals is the warranty package, which is said to be a 3 year or unlimited kilometres standard warranty. Toyota Glanza prices are surely going to be a little higher between a range of Rs 7.5 lakh to 9 lakh (ex-showroom).
