The Toyota Glanza was recently spied in Goa during a TVC shoot ahead of its official launch slated for June 6, 2019. It is the first product to be launched under Toyota-Suzuki partnership. For those not in the know, Toyota Glaza is primarily a rebadged Maruti Baleno with subtle changes such as a reworked radiator grille with dual chrome wings.
Toyota Glanza Reaches Dealerships Ahead of Launch
Both the models will be largely same in terms of aesthetics with same styling elements as seen in Baleno. The Toyota Glanza interior will be identical to its donor model save for badging across the cabin. The feature list will include a host of connected and comfort goodies. Toyota will offer the premium hatchback in two variants only including G and V grades akin to Baleno’s top-spec Zeta and Alpha trims.
Both the models will share mechanicals that said Toyota Glanza specifications will include the 1.2-litre VVT four-cylinder petrol unit which powers Baleno. In terms of power, it puts out 82.94 PS and 113 Nm torque. Transmission duties will be handled by a standard 5-speed manual gearbox along with an optional CVT. It could additionally come with a 1.2-litre Dual Jet Dual VVT unit with dual-battery Progressive Smart mild Hybrid system with 89.74 PS against 113 Nm torque and a five-speed manual gearbox. The hatchback will miss out on a diesel engine.

The Toyota Glanza will be positioned higher than Maruti Baleno prices for which start from Rs 5.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It gets a 2 year/40,000 warranty, whereas Toyota Glanza is expected to come with a 3 year/1,00,000 km warranty. As for pricing, expect the Toyota Glanza price in India to fall in the range of Rs 6 lakh to Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom).
