The images of the refreshed Prado have been on the internet for quite some time now. Now Toyota has officially confirmed that the 2013 Prado is ready for the citizens of Europe. There are quite a few significant changes made to the exterior such as, the huge front grille, which looks quite aggresive. The new tail lamp cluster, headlight cluster, and strong character lines throughout the body. Toyota claimed that changes were made to the car to make it look more rugged than any other SUV in the whole world.
The new Prado will be available in 3 models, the base one being the Legend, mid variant the Prestige and the top end model the Executive. The seats have been re-arranged to provide more space for the 2nd and 3rd row passengers. The center console has been redesigned, Optitron meters with a 4.2 inch LCD display, newly designed pane for controlling the driving functions, new color schemes, fabrics and switchgear. They have also added a very cool new feature called the Toyota Touch 2 and Toyota Touch 2 with Go, this gizmo basically mirrors your Smartphone, if you happen to use a Galaxy Note or a Galaxy S3.
Apart from the features the suspension has received a much needed improvement, a rear cross traffic alert has been added to augment safety and maneuver this huge brute at the same time. The main aspect what makes the Land Cruiser ‘the’ Land Cruiser is the availability of multi-terrain select system and a five step crawl control, these features enable the driver to switch between required control levels clearly with ease.
