The upcoming scrambler from Triumph India is one of the most anticipated motorcycles in the country presently. The company is now gearing up to launch this new motorcycle, the Street Scrambler, on the 24th of August. This has been reported by a plethora of reliable sources.

Presently, there are a few scrambler motorcycles from premium motorcycle companies like the Ducati Scrambler and the recently launched DSK Benelli Leoncino Scrambler. The introduction of the Triumph Street Scrambler will just bulge this segment, thereby, increasing the competition, which was negligible earlier.

The new Triumph Street Scrambler will ride on 41 mm telescopic fork in the front and twin shocks at the rear. These suspension parts are sourced from KYB. The suspensions on both the wheels are longer in order to keep the ground clearance on the higher side since it is an off road centric motorcycle. The braking duties are done by 310 mm front disc and 255 mm rear disc with Nissin two-piston callipers and switchable ABS.

The Triumph Street Scrambler is powered by a 900 cc parallel twin, liquid cooled engine, which is sourced from the Street Twin. It is capable of producing a maximum power of 55 bhp at 6,000 revolutions per minute. However, since it is an off-road centric motorcycle, the highest torque of 80 Nm comes in just 2,850 revolutions per minute, which is good for its purpose. The transmission duties will be taken care of by a 5-speed gearbox that will also feature assist clutch.

However, despite there being information from reliable sources that Triumph will be launching a new motorcycle this month, there has been no official word on which motorcycle it would be. The Triumph Street Scrambler is expected to be priced are Rs. 8 lakhs exclusive showroom price across the country and will be competing with similar opponents in the segment like the Ducati Scrambler.
