A new gearless scooter from Indian two-wheeler manuafcturer, TVS was recently spotted in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. Though the scooter was fully camouflaged, it more-or-less looked like a sibling of company's current offering in the segment, Scooty Pep.
The new scooter is expected to come with a fresh design including several costmetic changes. The scooter comes in an all black theme as black color alloys, telescopic front forks and the regular spring damp rear suspensions, all are wrapped with black paint.
Telescopic forks are used for frontal suspension while a single hydraulic shocker has been installed at the rear. The front foot rests of are comparatively at a different angle than the normal and pillion foot rests are also placed at a higher position. The shape of the seat has alos been changed with a new seat aligned grab rail.
Mechanically, the new scooter is expected to remain the same. The engine will be borrowed from Scooty which is a single cylinder 88 cc motor delivering five bhp and six nm of torque.
Currently, TVS Motors offers various gearless options in the country such as Scooty Pep, Scooty Streak, Wego and Jupiter. Now, this new product from the company will expand the manufacturer’s line-up in the country.
