Leaked images of the new upcoming Gixxer naked motorcycles have been doing the rounds of late on the internet. The latest is of the upgraded Gixxer 150 model after pictures of the naked Gixxer 250 bike had leaked online last week.
If it is to be believed then Suzuki is rightly prepping up for two new launches in the naked 150cc and 250cc category. It is quite a hint now to be believed because apparently, the top Suzuki management had disclosed that an SF 250 naked bike has been in the works, during the launch of Gixxer SF 250 and 2019 Gixxer SF 150.
What further adds to the hint that it is the new Gixxer 150 naked version is the fact that there is no bronze-finished engine cover, a uniquely styled wheel, no oil-cooler and no ABS on the rear disc brake – since the Gixxer 150 models get single-channel ABS, which on the other hand, are features given in the Gixxer 250 model.
It is expected that the upcoming new Gixxer 150 naked model’s engine might be the 154.9cc, air-cooled single-cylinder motor borrowed from its fully faired sibling. This engine churns 14.6bhp of max power and 14Nm of peak torque. What’s surely going to change is the weight which will be much less compared to the fully-faired Gixxer SF 150 that weighs 146 kilograms.
