Proving all the rumors right, Volkswagen India has now finally introduced the updated Jetta in the Indian market, which has gone through some cosmetic and engine updates. The new Jetta is priced between Rs 13.70 lakh to Rs 19.43 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
On the outside, the new Jetta features powerful Xenon headlamps along with washers, LED day time running lights and new 16-inch alloys. In terms of equipment level, the new Jetta now has dual-zone climatronic AC, front and rear mounted proximity sensors, 12-way electrically adjustable driver's seat, 60:40 folding rear seat, new music system with bluetooth compatibility, digital instrument panel with multi-function display (MFD), cruise control and paddle shifters on the DS gearbox.
With an aim to make the car much safer, Volkswagen India has offered the new Jetta with anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic stabilization program (ESP) and 6 airbags. Since it's a mid-life facelift, there are no changes made to the mechanics of the car. It continues to come in both 1.4-litre TSI petrol and 2.0-litre TDI diesel engines, capable of churning out 120.3bhp, 200Nm and 138bhp, 320Nm respectively.
