Yamaha, unlike many of its competitors, is pretty aggressive with updating its products. The changes can be in the form of colours, features or mechanics, but Yamaha never fails to surprise people on a regular basis.

This Auto Expo, Yamaha had showcased the Version 2.0 of FZ, but not much was said about its technical specifications. From sometime, a FZ lookalike has been spotted in and around Delhi. The looks resemble that of FZ-S concept showcased at the Auto Expo.

Currently, the FZ runs on a mill that is a 153 cc, single cylinder that produces around 13 bhp at the crank and a peak torque of 13.6 Nm. Though, Yamaha has not commented anything about the engine, a new engine with 180-190 cc capacity can't be ruled out. That makes the TVS Apache 180 its closest rival. This new FZ should churn out power somewhere between 17-20 bhp and should ideally be priced around Rs. 90,000 in Delhi. Expect the good looking and more potent FZ somewhere towards the end of 2014 or early 2015.
