The new 2019 Yamaha FZ FI was spotted recently in Delhi-NCR. The image is not clear enough to decipher the design and styling of the Yamaha motorcycle. Relying on the spy images, the new FZ FI will get a completely new style and design language featuring a LED headlamp with a fully-digital instrument cluster, as seen on the Yamaha FZ 25.
The engine specifications are expected to be the same on the new Yamaha motorcycles. The Yamaha FZ-S and the FZ FI house a 149cc, single-cylinder motor with Yamaha’s Blue Core technology. The engine churns 13.2 PS and 12.8 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The new FZ bikes will get ABS as standard.
The ultimate style spotlight will be the new hunky fuel tank with extensions and a faux radiator cowl. The rear section has been reworked on and the bike will boast a single-piece seat. Remaining mechanical configuration and specifications remain the same. On the whole, Yamaha Motor India has retained the iconic FZ silhouette.
The Yamaha FZ motorcycle series boasts of being the only one to feature fuel injection as standard throughout the range in its category. The FZ FI and the FZ-S pit against the Bajaj Pulsar NS160, Honda X-Blade, Suzuki Gixxer and the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V.
Though Yamaha Motor India has not confirmed the dates, however, we expect the launch of the 2019 Yamaha FZ FI in early 2019.
