- It is likely to launch in India by early 2020.
The new set of 2020 Benelli TNT 600i images has emerged online revealing new details about the bike. Interestingly, the images seem to be taken at a studio and the bike seems to sport a host of new elements compared to the model captured in the previous spy shots near a production unit in China. That said, the bike seen in the studio shots seem to sport Benelli TNT899/TNT1130 inspired headlamp, a far cry from the model spied in China, featuring a LED unit.
The twin-eye shape, a quintessential element in most of the TNTs can be seen in the latest images. The fuel tank gets a slightly angular treatment and the Benelli badge has been repositioned to the blacked-out part of the fuel tank. Moreover, the tank extensions get integrated turn indicators and the single-piece seats have been replaced by a split seat. Also, the side panels beneath the rider’s perch have been given a miss. In addition, the new-gen TNT 600i will get an underbelly exhaust.
Save for the aforementioned aesthetic bits, both the bikes share same suspension set-up, tyres, chassis and swingarm. It seems that both bikes are essentially the same, but they get different designs for different markets. As for the Benelli TNT 600i specifications, the current model gets an in-line, four-cylinder engine good for 86.2 hp against 54.6 Nm torque.
This unit could be continued in the new-gen model, albeit output could vary as it will be updated to meet Euro 5 emissions internationally, while the India-spec model will abide by the BS6 norms. This would cause a slight increase in the Benelli TNT 600i price which currently stands at Rs 6.20 lakh (ex-showroom). Expect the model to arrive here sometime early next year.
