Chevrolet unveiled a very smart looking edition of the TrailBlazer at 2016 Bangkok Motor Show and the SUV was named as the ‘Trailblazer Premiere’, hinting that the car will be the successor to the existing model. The spy shot shows that a heavily camouflaged prototype of the next-generation model has been spotted in India for the first time while going through rigorous testing.
Speaking of the exterior, the facelift model gets a redesigned front fascia with two-part grilles that have horizontal slats, headlights with integrated LED DRLs, while the rear gets redesigned taillights and bumper. Inside, the design of the dashboard has been completely updated, the switches on the centre console has been has been replaced with a touchscreen infotainment system. The car spotted in Pune sports a full black colour theme while the one showcased at the Bangkok Motor Show featured a dual tone theme.
Under the hood, the next-generation Trailblazer will be powered by the same engine as seen on the existing model that is a 2.8-litre Duramax diesel mill that pumps out 200bhp and 500Nm of peak torque. While in the international market, it will also be offered in the 2.5-litre diesel engine option. Both the engine will be paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
