Honda Amaze was first introduced in April 2013, with an important product that was introduced with Honda first Diesel powertrain. The Company later claimed that the 80 percent of the sales made in the compact sedan segment is with the new diesel unit in the Honda Amaze. Now, Honda is gearing up to make the global debut of the all-new Honda Amaze at the 2018 Auto Expo.
Going by the rendering, it clearly shows that that the new Amaze will get the front fascia borrowed from the bigger sibling, the City and most likely to be built on the current models revised platform, in order to meet strict safety regulations. The new model seems to come loaded with features and will be more desirable, as it will pounce with the Maruti Suzuki Dzire that has gone way more upmarket since its introduction.
Though the car will still measure under 4-metres, but the package will be made in such a way that it would come out to be more spacious than its predecessor. It will come with a revamped interior layout and equipped with features that includes a touchscreen infotainment system.
Mechanically, we can expect the 2018 Honda Amaze to come packed with the same 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol with 87 bhp and a 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel unit with 99 bhp that are seen on the current generation model and the transmission duties will be carried out with the same five-speed manual and a CVT.
