The Austrian motorcycle major KTM has been working on its next generation 200 Duke. Another group of spy photos of the bike has hit web and its giving a better idea about the bike. . The 2017 Duke 200 is expected to get launched early next year
On the stying front, the new Duke family has gone far angular in terms of design and it is lot more aggressive with a beefier fuel tank which has sharply designed extended fenders, lean and triangular headlight as well as edgy looking mudguards. The company have retained the split seat setup from the existing motorcycle, the alloys of the upcoming motorcycle carries a slightly different design. Clearly, the baby Duke is drawing design cues from its bigger brother, the 1290 Super Duke R and the result is brilliant. The new bike can even carry LED headlamps and taillamps alongside wider and flatter handlebars.
It is also said that the frame could also see some subtle changes which will make the bike even more agile and easy to handle. The power will come will be served by same single-cylinder engines of 125cc, 199.5cc and 373.2cc engines, but this time it would produce more power and torque figures. Engines would be further connected to a 6-speed gearbox. In terms of mechanicals, the Duke models will be updated with WP sourced new suspension setup, new exhaust system, a bigger disc brake in the front. The Duke would also carry dual channel ABS system.
According to sources, the 2017 KTM 200 Duke will be unveiled at the 2016 EICMA motorcycle show in Milan in Italy that will be organised later this year. The motorcycle will be showcased alongside the KTM 390 Duke and the Austrian motorcycle is expected to hit Indian market by 2017.
