The second generation of Renault Duster, a powerful SUV, is all set to make its way into the market by the end of this year. The Duster SUV will also make it to the Romanian market by early 2018. The Renault Duster was first launched in India eight years back and was widely appreciated. However, it did not receive any updates ever since.
The second generation of Renault Duster will be a completely new product, as described by Mr. Hakim Boutehra, general director of Renault Commercial Roumanie. Aesthetically, the next generation Renault (Dacia) Duster might have a 7-seater option as well. It is rumoured to be around 200mm longer than the existing model, thereby permitting a bigger cabin space. It is expected to be more urban than the current model.
The next generation Renault Duster is rumoured to be built on the same BO platform, along with a few modifications. The European version will be getting a 1.2-litre TCe petrol engine with 124 bhp of power and a 1.6-litre diesel motor with a highest power of 130 bhp. The transmission options may comprise of a manual and a EDC automatic gearbox.
The first generation of the Duster SUV had entered the market under the make of Dacia and Renault combined. The current model is a 5-seater SUV has a very urban exteriors.
