The Audi A7 has been a fresher idea of Audi before which the concept of 2-door Coupe was rather impractical to the Audi. The concept of the Audi A7 came into existence in 2009 and then came the Type 4G – the production edition of the model which reached in the market in 2010. Now the company has got a good hang of the sportsback model with the A7, Audi is testing the next generation of the car.

The A7 is based on the Volkswagen Group MLB platform, which also forms the base of A6 model. The new model was caught testing in Germany and the tested model is expected to come into the market in 2015. The new model will carry a lot of changes from the Audi’s latest innovations to keep the successful car interested. Well, with most of the features been well-hidden inside the camouflaged covers, the latest Matrix LED technology headlamps might come bolted with the new A7.

Features from the Audi’s flagship; the A8, like the trapezoidal exhausts pipes were seen with the new A7. It seems that Audi will extensively take clues from its existing models to make the new A7 as futuristic as it can be. We can also expect new engine that now come fitted with the new A8. The 3.0 TDI engine for example will produce more power in the new A7 than the outgoing model.

The tail-lamps have also been revamped extensively with all the LED technology now forming the shape of Audi’s signature lamps. The base model of current A7 is powered by an underpowered 2.8 FSI engine, for which the rated power output is lower than the VW Golf GTI.

With the new A7 caught in pictures, it can be hoped from the company that the next model of the A7 carries a lot of changes incorporating Audi’s latest technology but by keeping the DNA of Audi A7 alive in them. The new A7 caught in pictures will meet the general population eye to eye in 2015 and with the brand Audi, we can expect no less!
