Honda Civic may not be a very successful car in India, but worldwide, it holds high regards among customers. And a special type of Civic is even more appreciated by the buyers, and that's Honda Civic Type R. Now in its 3rd generation, Honda will release the 4th generation of the Type R at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.
Honda has released some additional teaser images of the Civic Type R revealing more details about the car. Starting with the exterior, the car will get a more aggressive front bumper and according to Honda, it is designed to "inhibit air turbulence around the front wheels, cutting drag and enhancing high-speed stability."
In addition to the redesigned front bumper, Honda also confirmed the model will have a front splitter, ventilated front fenders and aerodynamic side skirts. The rear wing will be more prominent and underbody panels will channel air into a sporty rear diffuser. A Brembo front braking system with four-piston calipers and 350mm drilled discs hidden behind the 19-inch alloy wheels will do the braking duties.
The engine duties will be performed by a turbocharged 2.0 litre four cylinder engine whose performance figures are not yet revealed by Honda, though they have revealed that it can achieve a top speed of 270 kmph which is "unrivaled amongst its front wheel-drive competitors."
