Nissan appoints Roland Buerk as senior director of communications for India

Nissan Motor Corporation has announced the appointment of Roland Buerk as the senior director in charge of communications for the Africa, Middle East and India region, with immediate effect. Buerk who is currently the general manager, global corporate communications, Nissan Motor Corp. will lead the communications efforts for the Japanese company based in Dubai.

On taking over the new office in Dubai, Buerk will report to Takasha Hata, senior vice president and chairman for the Africa, Middle East and India region and to Jeff Kuhlman, vice president of global communications. The former BBC foreign correspondent holds a political science degree from Birmingham University and he joined Nissan Motor Corp. in 2012 after a five-year stint in South Asia.

For Nissan, the region is our strategic growth driver and I am confident his communications leadership will help us tell our story toward brand enhancement and business expansion.” Takashi Hata remarked.
