The Japanese supercar Nissan GT-R, well known as the Godzilla, is making its way to India. The car just like the movie character, continues to evolve; growing bigger, faster and more powerful with each generation. It has created quite a lot of buzz all over the internet with innumerable videos and pictures. The first version of the GTR came around in the year 2007 and had made its debut at the Tokyo Motor Show. Since then, the company produced quite a few successors, but the Godzilla seems to be the ultimate of them all so far.
The Nissan GT-R was unveiled at the New York Auto show and has been eyed and owned by several people now, not excluding our very own country. The Godzilla has graced our roads and managed to turn heads resulting in Nissan finally broadening its horizon and making room for Indian consumers by making the supercar a part of our automobile industry.
It has been announced by Nissan Motor India that the pre-booking for the Godzilla has started and a deposit of Rs 25 lakhs has to be made to ensure that the beast reaches you soon enough.
The 2017 Nissan GT-R is a very powerful car that comes with a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. In just 2.6 seconds it can run 0-100kms thanks to its 637Nm of torque.
The engine is so powerful that the GT-R had to undergo quite a few changes at the front that includes an enlarged grille, and the bonnet has been transformed to withstand higher speeds. With power comes noise, while some like the heavy hum of their engine revving, others prefer a little subdued one. In order to eliminate this issue, Nissan has allowed the GTR’s driver to gain manual control over the engine sound inside the car. With the help of Titanium mufflers that come with electronic control valve the driver can determine the amount of sound that will be heard inside the cabin through the three different settings- Normal, Comfort and R.
The Nissan Godzilla will indeed be a value-for-money car considering the amount of power and facilities it comes with.
