Nissan India's first MPV Evalia, which was launched last year, hasn't received the kind of response the company was expecting from the vehicle. So, the company is trying everything possible to get things on track. In a fresh attempt to try enhancing the vehicle's sales, the company has launched the facelifted Evalia MPV with a new top-end XV trim. The XV Trim has two variants XV and XV (Option) priced at Rs 10.48 lakh and Rs 10.73 lakh respectively(ex-showroom, Delhi).

Now with two new variants XV and XV option, the car is available in total 6 variants priced between Rs 8.78 lakh and 10.73 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). In terms of equipment the new XV trim gets 15-inch alloy wheels, rear washer, wiper and defogger and captain seats for middle row. The middle row also gets a sliding window and a roof-mounted air vent. So, all these features have certainly helped the Evalia become a more up-market product than before.

Commenting on the facelifted Evalia, Kenichiro Yomura, president, Nissan India Operations, said: "The new features in the Evalia reinforce Nissan’s commitment to the Indian market and consumers. We have listened to our customers closely and have responded to their requirements in a very short span of time."

Technically the car is unchanged with the same 1.5-litre dCi diesel, which mated to a five-speed manual gearbox churns out a maximum power output of 85bhp and 200Nm of torque. A few days back, Ashok Leyland too rolled out the Stile MPV, which is basically the rebadged version of the Evalia with a tuned engine. So, launching the facelifted Evalia right after that, proves to be a right decision or not, only time will tell.

Nissan Evalia facelift prices (ex-showroom, New Delhi)

Evalia XE Rs 8.78 lakh
Evalia XE + Rs 9.22 lakh
Evalia XL Rs 9.80 lakh
Evalia XL (Option) Rs 10.05 lakh
Evalia XV Rs 10.48 lakh
Evalia XV (Option) Rs 10.73 lakh
