Nissan India registers 88% sales growth in October 2016

Snapshot: Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. has reported domestic sales of 6,108 vehicles in the month of October 2016 as against 3,246 units sold in the corresponding month last year.

Japanese car manufacturer, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. has reported domestic sales of 6,108 vehicles in the month of October 2016 as against 3,246 units sold in the corresponding month last year. The company registered a growth of 88 percent of sales in the month of October.

Commenting on the sales results, Arun Malhotra, managing director, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd., said, “Our solid performance and overall growth of 88 per cent in October has been possible with the continued robust performance of the Datsun redi-GO and tremendous response to the recently launched redi-GO SPORT version.”

While from the period between April to October of the current financial year, Nissan India has recorded an overall growth of 54 percent, selling 35,147 units of vehicle compared to 22,180 units sold in the same period in the year 2015, making it one of the fastest growing automobile companies’ in the Indian passenger vehicle segment.

Not only this, Nissan all setting its foot in India by getting its performance product, Nissan GT-R (also known as the Godzilla) and will witness its launch in the country on December 2. Pre-booking of the Godzilla has already begun and can be booked at a token amount of Rs 25 lakh. Just to add to your knowledge, the GT-R will be powered by a 3.8-litre twin turbocharged V6 engine.
