Nissan, the Japanese automaker, has unveiled the Kicks Street Sport at the ongoing 2019 SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) show. The heavily modified version of the Kicks SUV comes with a plethora of aftermarket accessories and a turbocharged engine.
For those asking, SEMA is an annual show held in Las Vegas where automotive aftermarket accessories are exhibited by several companies.
Speaking of the Nissan Kicks Street Sport, it comes with extensive modifications which include a custom-built wide body kit. It now rides on broader and sportier 6-spoke 17-inch bronze colored alloy racing wheels. The SUV also boasts of Nismo sports exhausts while the chrome has been removed totally from the body.
Inside the cabin, the Nissan Kicks Street Sport gets Sparco racing seats. And, more importantly, the version on display at SEMA is totally different from the India-spec model as the latter is based on Renault Captur's M0 platform while the former is underpinned by V architecture - identical to a global model of Kicks.
Nissan Kicks Street Sport, displayed at the SEMA Show, is smaller in size as compared to the Indian model. It houses the 1.6L petrol engine which is at the helm of the international model of Kicks, albeit with the addition of a turbocharger.
The company has also installed an ECU with the engine, however, it has refrained from revealing the power output and torque performance of the SUV. But it is already known that it will deliver much higher power and torque than the standard model's 124bhp and 155Nm, respectively. Nissan Kicks price starts at Rs 9.55 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India) and goes as high as Rs. 13.69 Lakhs.
