Japanese auto major Nissan that recently launched the Nissan Terrano SUV in the Indian market has now silently launched a special edition of its flagship sedan Sunny. Originally based on the Sunny XV diesel variant, this special edition has been offered with several additional features at an additional cost of Rs 56,000 over the regular XV diesel. So, the special edition will cost Rs 9.86 lakh to its buyers.
This is the same edition that the company launched earlier this year, but for a limited time. This special edition gets some extra features like premium leather seats, chrome finish exhaust, rear spoiler and reverse parking sensor. The Nissan Sunny special edition gets new infotainment system with Bluetooth, USB and Aux-in support.
Since it's just a package offered on the existing XV diesel version, there are no changes made to the mechanics of the car. It has the same 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine which belts out a maximum power of 84.8bhp at 3,750rpm, while yielding 200Nm of peak torque at 2,000rpm. The engine is couple with a five-speed manual transmission gearbox, which sends power to the front wheels of the car.
