Nissan India has silently launched the limited edition Micra X-Shift at a sticker price of Rs. 6.40 Lakhs (Ex. Showroon, New Delhi) in the country. Being limited to 750 units only, the Nissan Micra X-Shift is based on the XL variant of the standard hatchback. The Micra X-Shift comes with a CVT gearbox and also commemorates the fifth anniversary of Nissan Micra in India.
As for exterior styling, the Micra X-shift gets a matte black roof, a chrome tipped exhaust, reverse parking sensors, and side decals with the X-Shift badging. Inside the cabin, the X-Shift edition boasts a new 3-spoke steering wheel, sourced directly from the Sunny facelift. It also comes loaded with several premium features such as silver-finished door armrests, LED scuff plates, steering mounted audio controls and music system with Bluetooth connectivity. As for safety of the occupants, the Micra X-Shift features driver-side airbag and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). Just so you know, the regular CVT-gearbox variant XV is priced at Rs. 6.93 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, New Delhi).
Mechanically, the Nissan Micra X-Shift is powered by the same 1.2L, 3-pot petrol motor which does duties on all the other variants. It belts out a top power of 76bhp and peak torque of 104Nm, while delivering an ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 19.74kmpl. In case you want to know, the Nissan Micra is also available in diesel guise with a 1.5-liter dCi engine. It is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Besides the CVT gearbox, the Micra petrol variants are offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
