We Indians surely adore Gold and anything that comes with the Gold Bling, sells like a hot cake here. And now, we have more reason to be happy! To commemorate the upcoming 2016 Olympics to be held in Rio De Janeiro, Nissan has launched a special edition of the Nissan hatchback, at the ongoing 2014 Sao Paulo Motor Show.
As the headlines suggest, the special edition Micra will come loaded with Gold color, all around the body. The already cute Micra will get a gold body kit, gold alloy wheels as well as an 'Au' symbol on the side mirrors (confused? Au is the symbol of Gold in the periodic table). The interiors are not yet revealed, but the possibility of heavy use of Gold in the seats and dashboard can't be ruled out.
Also known as March, the car will be powered by a 1.6 litre flex-fuel engine that produces 110bhp and is mated to a five-speed manual. The mechanicals will be largely unchanged and the equipment list will be similar to the Indian spec Micra, but will have added safety features, as required by the Brazilian standards.
We are not sure that this model will ever make it to the Indian shores, but one thing is for sure, if launched, it will sell like hot cakes and Nissan has done a commendable job making this car look aesthetically good.
