The Japanese car makes, Nissan Motors, has launched the Sunny facelift in Thailand. It is called Almera in Thailand and it is also expected to be launched in India at the upcoming Auto Expo 2014.
The newly launched Almera in Thailand, is powered by a 1.2 litre, 3 cylinder petrol engine which produces a maximum power of 79 bhp. It has a displacement of 1198cc. However, in India, it is expected to have a 1.5-litre engine in both petrol and diesel variants.
The front of the Almera has got some alterations like the headlamps has been redesigned, the front grille, new front fog lamps etc. In terms of features, the Sunny facelift gets power foldable outside rear view mirrors and new 15-inch wheels, for the top variant, while the base variant will continue to have 14-inch wheel size. The interiors have got improved central console in the shades of black and silver, it will now be available with Bluetooth connectivity, 2-DIN radio, 6.1 inch touch screen DVD player and multi-function steering wheels.
In India, will be competing against the newly launched Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki SX4, Volkswagen Vento, Skoda Rapid and Renault Scala. The Sunny facelift is expected to be available in two trims namely - V CVT and Vl CVT.
