The Japanese auto giant Nissan is all set to launch its Nissan X-Trail hybrid in the Indian market by April 2017. Earlier the company had showcased the SUV in the Auto Expo 2016. According to reports, the managing director of Nissan Motors India has confirmed that the company will launch its X-Trail hybrid SUV in India.
The new X-Trail depends on the Common Module Family (CMF) platform, which is engineered together by Nissan and Renault. Soon after Japan, Thailand and Indonesia, India would be the fourth nation where Nissan would present this hybrid car and it is probably going to hit Indian shores as CBU. The SUV measures 4,640mm in length, 1,820mm in width, 1,715mm in height. Additionally it boast a long wheel base of 2,705 mm.
The company has already started preparing for the launch of the X-Trail SUV, and some of the enthusiasts have already spotted it while testing. The SUV is powered by a 2.0-liter petrol engine, coupled with a hybrid motor. Both the motors, together, develop 179 bhp of maximum power. The motor is equipped with a CVT gearbox, that provides brilliant performance. The new X-Trail offers good off road capabilities, thanks to the great electronic AWD system. The SUV also has Active Ride Control feature just like Mercedes Benz S class.
The interior is furnished in black and beige with chrome highlights, that adds to the premium feel. The center console is finished in piano black and houses a touchscreen infotainment system, that support Bluetooth and AUX connectivity. The automatic climate control is fitted just below the infotainment system. The instrument panel is easy to read while on the go. The three spoke steering wheel is nice and easy to hold and it provides brilliant feedback. The SUV will hit Indian shores as CBU and is expected to priced around 40 - 45 lakhs.
