Nissan has announced plans to stage the world premiere of the 2016 GT-R NISMO fitted with the N-Attack Package at the beginning of November during the SEMA event organized in Las Vegas. This is basically the most hardcore version of the GT-R money can buy and the model in this configuration is actually the fastest volume production car to lap the Nurburgring after managing an impressive performance of 7 minutes and 8.679 seconds.
When equipped with this package, the GT-R comes fitted with numerous goodies such as a front limited slip differential, four-way Öhlins adjustable dampers, aluminum dedicated intercooler made from carbon along with a carbon plate rear limited-slip differential. Moreover, the supercar is also a tad lighter than the regular GT-R NISMO and comes with a plethora of aerodynamic bits and pieces designed to make the vehicle go faster around the corner.
The engineers at Nissan and NISMO have worked on the engine’s control management system and also on the traction control setup while at the back they installed a massive rear wing designed to boost downforce on the rear axle. There are also a bunch of changes inside the cabin such as the rear-seat finisher, dedicated carbon rear bulkhead along with Recaro full bucket seats fitted with a carbon shell to shave off weight even further.
Those who are willing to pay more can get the 2016 Nissan GT-R NISMO N-Attack Package with an optional titanium exhaust system that cuts weight even further and at the same time provides the car with a beefier soundtrack.
Nissan has already announced that before the next generation will arrive in the years to come, the current GT-R will be the subject of yet another revision which is expected to hit the market sometime next year, with the all-new model launching likely towards the end of 2017 or early 2018.
