Ever since Royal Enfield shifted to their UCE or Unit Construction Engine's back in 2010, the Chennai based company is creating records after records in terms of sales growth. 2015 and the start of this year has not been any different, and RE is pilling on splendid sales growth months as usual. The sales report for RE business in April 2015 are now out and it represents a brilliant 42% growth in year-on-year sales numbers for the month of April 2015. RE sold 33,918 units in combined domestic wholesale and exports in April 2015.
In domestic market, Royal Enfield managed to sell 33,118 units in the month of April 2015 against 23,180 units in the corresponding month last year, marking a growth of 43 percent. Exports too showed promising numbers as Royal Enfield sold 800 units overseas during April 2015 against 638 units during corresponding month last year, a rise of 25 percent.
Royal Enfield has also been able to expand their export market base as it launched the Classic in a new 350cc variant in Philippines, at a price of PHP 188,000 on road in Philippines and will be available in Classic Black, Silver, Ash& Lagoon colour variants across all dealerships of Hardcore Brother Custom in Philippines. With this launch, the Classic 350 became the first 350cc variant that Royal Enfield will be introducing in Philippines.
